The goal of every geophysical companys activities is acquiring the geophysical data that entirely satisfies the Clients requirements. The Geology Directorate is entrusted with accomplishing this task. Its activities include selecting survey objects along with the Client, setting goals for the Exploration Geophysics and Borehole Geophysics Directorates via geological assignments, processing and interpretation of geological and geophysical data, delivery of the results to the Client, current control over observation of surveying and interpretation technology at all stages.

Processing and interpretation are carried out in the Processing Centre equipped with the 20-processor server SUN Enterprise 10 000, 8 Gb RAM and a 8-processor Linux Cluster with total disk space over 7100 Gb, archiving system over 1500 Gb. This allows to process over 10 000 linear km of 2D survey and over 2000 sq.km of 3D survey annually.

More than 200 workstations connected into one network with the server, provide access to the most complicated processing and interpretation software by "Landmark", "Schlumberger", "Paradigm Geophysical" and WesternGeco, and the solution to the most delicate geological tasks of exploration and borehole geophysics.

By means of a specialized archiving system, all geophysical data acquired in-field, is copied onto cartridges for a long-time storage. A computer technology has been introduced allowing to digitize and to input seismic and borehole-geophysical data recorded on any media in analog form.

There is a data base containing a significant volume of seismic data over various oil and gas regions of Russia.

Interpretation and re-interpretation of well-logging data is carried out on the basis of the INGIS, GINTEL and PRIME software packages. The data base is complied by means of the SIGMA software package.

Processing and interpretation of the borehole seismic data is fulfilled applying the VSP-LOG, VSP-POL and Express-VSP software.

Our highly qualified personnel having the experience of working in various conditions, allows to accomplish a wide range of tasks while searching and exploration of oil and gas fields. Among these tasks are:

Detailed mapping of oil and gas traps
Specifying the outlines of oil-bearing fields
Prediction of the lithologic and facies variations of the reservoirs
Determining the reservoir properties of a sections productive interval in the inter-borehole space
Oil saturation prediction of hydrocarbon deposits within the area
Detailed digital modeling of an oil field.

To provide constant informative support of the horizontal well construction, TNG Group has developed an Automated Methodical Complex for acquisition, processing and interpretation of the geophysical data. The developed technology allows to conduct an efficient and timely informative support of the drilling process and to accomplish the basic geologic tasks:

Lithologic and stratigraphic section dismembering;
Detection of the most productive areas in an oil pool;
Correction of the projected radius of the wellbore curvature;
Detection of micro fracturedness;
Optimization of the well-logging process (specifying the coring intervals, conducting geophysical surveys, testing the formations, etc);
Optimization of the drilling process, forecasting of complications and prevention of emergencies.

ACTIVITIES:

Processing and interpretation of seismic data, complex analysis of geological and geophysical information, development of original interpretation methods, creation of geological and hydrodynamical oilfield models by means of the SUN-Enterprise 10000 super computer.
